Worst Boss
- I have worked for a lot of different bosses over the years. Without being specific to one, I would say that the worst "type" of boss I've had to work for were the ones who were afraid to actually manage their employees. The employees knew they could get away with being late, chatting and wasting time during work hours, taking personal calls and he/she never says a word because the employee might get upset. I despise that in a boss.

Most Awful Boss Ever?
- I have been working for local government in the state of Delaware for 9 years. My boss is a jackass, and he has been allowed to bully employees to the point of breaking civil rights. The Town Council is aware of this has allowed him to continue with his bad behavior, looking the other way to avoid bad press. He has had fist fights with one of his employees in the public park in front of women and children. The police were called. Now he has turned his anger towards me I am a fifty year old woman. He beats me down every day with words, calls me in his office one day and say's look at this picture of a fat woman being hauled around on a John Deere tractor and says this looks like you. He yells at me for every mistake whether it is my fault or not. Rips his pants on a office chair stands up and throws the chair twice across the office yelling obscenities, yet he is allowed to maintain his position of authority. This man spies on my phone calls, makes fun of my hearing disability and is a jackass.

My Boss is a Psychopath
- She accuses me of things that I know nothing about. She once asked me whether I would sleep with her husband on her bed in her house? She whispers in my ear that I am stupid and ugly. She ridicules me and makes people hate me.

Look Right Through Me
- This women would smile and only talk to the English speaking workers. She'd ignore the rest of us like we just weren't there. I hated her.

Her title is a Supervisor?
- I was a stellar employee for 17 years, not that I stroked her for bettering myself, its just the way I worked hard. Up until 2 years ago, she was training me for her position if anything happened to her. Then she started playing favorites to another secretary. I know the gossiping, accussing me of wrongdoing, making mistakes etc was taking place between her and my co-worker! She even had other senior staff involved, anyone that would listen to her because she is so unhappy with her own life, she grew a disliking to me. She would find mistakes I did, she wouldn't tell me about them, yet she'd bring them up to me six months later in performance evaluations. I was let go after 19 years of employment. She even had the audacity to have me come in to work and work one day to cover staff that were gone and then the next day I was let go that morning. Every one in the office knew I would be laid off before I did! She is a horrible supervisor, has no business being a boss. GTHB

Who Was Your Worst Boss and Why?
- He is a smart guy, intelligent but he always change his mind. Signs the document without thinking. He show-up late whenever there is a meeting (even if its an emergency). He will not give you any chance at all to speak whenever there is a meeting. He loves to talk but never answers the phone. He does not want to answer the telephone when it's ringing. It's really very difficult to manage a worst boss. He will never give you a tap at the back and yet he provides lots of overtime.

Sexist Jackass
- My boss discriminates against all of the women in the office. He likes to brush up against them and grab them whenever he thinks no one is looking. He is also extremely condescending to all staff but strangely seems to have the hots for the one gay woman on staff. That's probably because his wife is old and fat.

Boss Does Not Know How to Do a Schedule
- Our boss does not know how to do a schedule, one person is gone and she has to do the schedule over and has you working back to back schedules, you will work nights, mornings and evenings.

Phlebotomist
- My worst boss was a lady named Missy. She was a backstabbing b*tch. ok ok not professional to call her that but its pretty bad when your supervisor makes fun of patients at a hospital... My god lady they are sick and so are you. She thinks it's fun to talk about other employees to other employees. Wow really!!! Her boss thinks she is the best thing to happen to that place. granted she is knowledgeable but she needs a reallity check.

Tied for First Place
- One of the bosses sexually harassed another woman at the job in front of us- humiliating all of us. He would click his shotgun at work in front of us and tell us about the vicious dogs he had. He ripped us off on commissions. I got an advance the day before I left & I cut my losses 50%. He called and left a message on my cell phone telling me I owed him money for the advance (no he owed me another 50%). He intimidated everybody. The second current boss is a bully (like the first one) but he actually uses the worst profanity and berates and harasses them and will do everything BUT fire people a lot of the time - he will demote them, reduce their salary, everything but push them off the cliff. He did this to one of the last managers who resigned by email under pressure. Then he and his two "assistants" were smiling all day at work and later brought on one of his assistant's sister-in-law to replace him (they planned it). He is discriminating.

Arrogant and Selfish Guy
- I give my boss a two thumbs up in excellent reports (since his not the one doing it, the only thing he do at work is to chat and play with his phone), he us an arrogant and selfish guy who only know how to criticize and fire people.

Childcare Director
- This director started with no experience and we tried to help her but she just didn't know what she was doing, she told us not to listen to the kids parents and that they didn't matter, she screamed at the kids for doing nothing other than normal child behaviour, she was a compulsive liar, she told the staff she didn't care if they were happy and that we were all replaceable and unimportant, she often argued with parents and told them they had no right to raise their children the way they were... 30% of the workplace has already resigned and out of the remaining staff 80% are looking for new employment... we also have hardly any children left at the centre, numbers have gone right down.

Deli Manager
- for someone just starting work at a new job it take a little while to get it down, right? well my manager on the second day i worked leaves me alone for the last three hours of my shift, which was closing, so she can go renew her food handlers permit. then after i start college she decides she needs to hire two more people so that we have more available people. the two new hires both get more hours then me and i've been reduced to 5 from 30+. i believe she is doing this because she is jealous that i'm going to college and am trying to go somewhere when she had a child when she was younger and has been stuck in the same miserable day to day struggle of working a 40 hour week as a single mother with a child

Crazy Boss
- My boss at one of the large movie studios would contradict herself in the same sentence and angrily deny that she had said A instead of B or what she meant - no clarification possible with her. She hid behind her gender and race (I'm ethnic and male) and stabbed everyone at work in the back. But she had been there a long time and the company was afraid of a discrimination lawsuit. She was constantly lying and hypocritical, always rated me & my coworker poorly on our evaluations, undeservedly. I left, my coworker left within two months (she met with me for lunch on her last day saying I was the buffer and she couldn't take it any more), my replacement (ethnic and female) complained to HR and this time HR listened, her boss gave her the ultimatum to quit or get fired. She resigned. They re-hired my coworker but not me. I've temped there a couple of times afterward (seeing how the job market is, it was a decent but not great opportunity to work), and each time was horrible.

Eckerd Drugs Manager
- She didn't want me as an employee. she played a game with me because she had to replace me first to cover the shift - selfish.
