The job I lost
I was working for an apparel industry. Due to current economical situation I lost my job which I was holding for more than 7+ years. Now it’s hard to get a job in current situation, I am willing to take 50% pay cut still having an issue to get a job in apparel industry. I am trying to change my career but no good luck. I can not afford collage fees and I am not eligible to get a financial aid because I am holding MS degree. It’s tough luck out there.
What it's like being unemployed
Due to current unemployment status, I have to remove/minimize insurance coverage for car and house. I have to take my kids away from their daily activities like Scout, Basket Ball, Music, Foot Ball, Soccer etc which they were involved since from birth. It seems to me that they reached the edge that they are building up their college profile, and now due to my financial situation their hard work, dedication and afford will be in vain.
Advice
- Minimize expanses, reduce insurance coverage, do volunteer work around kids activities, spend time with kids and enjoy them while you can, organize and improve your personal profile.
