The job I lost

Operation/Branch Manager Financial industry for over 25 years. My last salary was 97K plus commission & benefits. I’m college graduate- Master Degree

I was a happy successful, hardworking, productive 55 years old single woman

What it's like being unemployed

Hell!! Yes it’s hell when there is no Hope, no Future, no Job..

I’m depressed, have major anxiety, high blood pressure, cannot afford to go to doctor or buy medication. Family & friends don’t respect me, don’t return my phone calls. I lost my house, my car, 401k, savings, forced to move to a 350 sqft studio.

Advice

  • I was a Republican most of my life, today I don’t trust them! Selfish, arrogant, ignorant rich who have no respect for middle class Americans.
  • We don’t need “hand out” but when you live in a state like Cal with unemployment rate of over 12% - this little benefit check at least pays the rent and put food on the table!
  • How dare you ignore our pain, I worked all my life, I paid tax, I was a responsible person, never even got a ticket for driving violation or so; how dare you expect us to go on Public Aid and Food Stamps, how dare you!
