The job I lost

10+ Year (Advance Degreed) HR Professional

What it's like being unemployed

(Mortgage + Car + Utilities/Gas) * (27 months unemployed) * (7+ weeks w/o benefits) = YOU DO THE MATH

The reasons given to me (for not progressing to a job offer) after countless phone screens and in-person interviews include the following: "overqualified", "too experienced", "not enough experience", "job will not be challenging enough", "we don't want to limit you", "you have an impressive resume", "not sure you will be challeged here", "wouldn't want to insult you or your intelligence"... yada, yada.

I am faithful!

Advice

  • The race is not given to swift; but to the one who ENDURETH until the end.
  • Keep GOD first!
