The job I lost
Hi. My name is Felix. Last year on Feb-2011 I got laid-off and was looking for a job when a training program came through workforce commission to get approved for Medical Assistant. Everything was perfect until this May 12 2012 when my benefits for unemployment got cut. I had to leave school with a GPA 4.0 with half way to the end of my training. Since that time I've filled out so many applications and had so many interviews, but nothing is coming up. This is the first time in my whole life collecting money. I'm probably losing my home and my car because I can't get help from anywhere. This is embarrassing.
What it's like being unemployed
I feel frustrated and stressed. I am thinking that I don't understand how come our own President offers help to other countries when he can't help his own, wasting money on other stupid things. How can our country can be in this situation? I have had a bad experience being unemployed. I've been knocking on doors. It's especially bad here where you don't have anybody, no family no friends, yes here in El Paso TX. I'm from California and I'm having a lot problems to get established here where people are weird, probably because most of the people are Hispanic.
Advice
- I'm still learning because I'm still unemployed. I'm learning how politicians worry about other problems with no solutions, when they can fix the big economic problems.
