Why I Was Fired
I have no one to blame but myself. I have a big mouth and sometimes I'm profane. One day I saw a pretty new employee and I told the mailroom manager about her.
He jokingly said. "You got a taste for skanks". I stupidly replied " I don't like no skanky smelly *****". Unfortunately for me, a lady was behind me and she complained to HR. A few minutes later I was history.
I deserved it. Never again.
What Being Fired Has Been Like
I kept asking myself over and over how I could have been that stupid. Maybe a thousand times or more I asked myself the same question.
I eventually got a new job and the people at the new company think I'm a prude. Not one bad word has escaped my lips since that day over six years ago.
Advice
- If you have a loud mouth its a good idea to use self discipline and keep it shut.
