Definition: The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) outlines the rights and conditions for aliens working temporarily or permanently in the United States. Employment eligibility, employment verification, and nondiscrimination are addressed, and apply to all employers.

The INA also protects employees who are U.S citizens or authorized aliens from discrimination based on national origin in hiring or discharge issues.
