Sexual Harassment - Hiring

Definition: Sexual harassment can occur in pre-employment hiring when unwelcome sexual advances (requests for sexual favors) are made as a term of employment, either implicity or explicity.

Types of sexual harassment include verbal (what someone says), non-verbal (what someone does), or physical (touching).

The law is enforced by the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) Any individual who believes that his or her employment rights have been violated may file a charge of discrimination with the EEOC.
