Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

Definition: A flexible spending account (FSA) is a financial account set up by an employer. FSAs lets employees put aside part of their earnings to pay for certain qualified health care and dependent care expenses that are not paid for by their insurance companies. This money is not subject to payroll taxes, thereby resulting in payroll tax savings.
