1998 - 1999
- Introduced to theatre in Victoria Junior College, Theatre Studies and Drama program.
- Involved in a stage production under Dramaplus Arts, script by Jonathon Lim and directed by Roger Jenkins.
2000 - 2002
- Enrolled in University of Queensland, Australia and pursued further studies in theatre.
- Achieved 'Distinction' for Drama Studies.
- Acted in a university production as part of Drama Studies as the only Asian in a play about Pauline Hanson's political campaign.
- Scripted and directed a 20-min play about genetic engineering for university's international conference on 'Genetic Engineering'.
- Enrolled in physical theatre course held by ZenZenZo, a Brisbane local physical theatre troupe, which bases its performance techniques on the Japanese art form, Butoh.
- Trained in vocal/speech techniques, based on Linklaters' studies on voice production/linguistics.
2003 - 2006
Joined Singapore Armed Forces, Music and Drama Company as a performing artiste. As an artiste in SAF MDC, I started out as a dancer, moving on to becoming a singer, actor, anchor host, drama i/c, director, drama instructor, and helped conceptualise ideas for shows/skits/hosting material, and also supervised the junior artistes.
As the anchor host in SAF MDC, I have hosted many important events, such as the "2nd Annual International Counter-Terrorism Conference", which was held in Pan Pacific Hotel on 16th, 18th August. GOH Chief of Army Lieutenant General Desmond Kwek.
I am comfortable with small or large crowds, and have ample experience to handle even up to 1000 pax audience.
At the same time, I also freelanced outside of MDC as host, singer, dancer, actress, and got involved in some productions.
May 2005 - Guest-starred in TCS 5's drama series "Lifeline".
Nov 2005 - Acted in "A Little Night Of Drama" at the Inauguration Ceremony for the opening of the New Drama Center. Directed by Goh Boon Teck, Toy Factory Productions Ltd.
July 2006 - Acted as one of the 'ChioBus' in Sebastian Tan's "Broadway Beng", Kuala Lumpur Production, directed by Selena Tan, Dream Academy.
Sept 2006 - Acted in a short film production for a local HD Panasonic Film Festival, titled "Sweet Pine Grove" produced by Blk A Pictures.
Oct 2006 - Sang in a local Chinese/Cantopop band (Typhoon Band) for 3 months at club 'Babyface'.
2007
March - Toy Factory Productions Ltd's "TiTouDao" from 1st to 31st March 2007, held in the New Drama Center, directed by Goh Boon Teck. Role: Swee Lian, Kim Kee, Ah Dui, Narrator, Siew Kin, Dancer.
April - "Singapore Day 2007" at New York, 21st April. Role: Singer for the Musical Theatre segment, titled "Singapore Got Musical Meh?" Written/Directed by Jonathon Lim, Music arranged by Bang Wenfu.
August - Host for SAF formal dinner event "5th ASEAN Chiefs of Defence Force Informal Meeting", held at Asian Civilisation Museum on 2nd August. GOH Major-General Desmond Kwek, and other CDFS from ASEAN countries.
September - Acted, sang and danced in a mini-musical for SAF's NS40 show. Directed by Hossan Leong, held at Pasir Laba Camp on 27th September. GOH Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
October - Acted in a corporate video produced by Flip! Creatives PTE LTD for Canon INC.
November - Acted, sang and danced in a medley of song and dance (featuring numbers from all Asean countries) in SAF's prestigious, high-profile ASEAN Annual Meeting 2007, held in Shangrila Hotel, Singapore. Sang part-time with Dragonfly, St James Power Station.
2008
January - "Beauty World" by W!ld Rice Productions, held at Esplanade Theatre, directed by Ivan Heng. 3rd January to 19th January. Role: Daisy.
February - "Shanghai Blues" by Toy Factory Productions Ltd, held at Esplanade Theatre as part of HuaYi Festival, directed by Goh Boon Teck. 8th and 9th February.
