You can apply online or in-person. Stores usually have applications on a table in the front of the store and they are so simple that they only take a few minutes to complete. With the basic applications, all you need to complete is your name and phone number and the shifts you are able to work. If they don't use paper applications, you may be able to apply from a kiosk inside the store, or online from home.
With the more detailed ones, you have to fill out your name and contact information, when (days and hours) you are available to work, the weeks you are available, and where you have worked (name of company, dates of employment, position).
In some cases, the company will want to know whether you can work on specific dates. For example, some companies have a minimum holiday work commitment of a certain number of hours each holiday week.
