Job seekers have a tendency to put their job search on hold when they are waiting for a job offer. That's not a good idea. Even though your interview may have gone really well, you shouldn't count on a job offer until you have it in hand.
Even though you might be a great candidate, things happen. The company may decide on another candidate or they may decide not to fill the position, after all. In fact, you can even lose a job offer after you have accepted it. Here's more on what you can do if a job offer is revoked.
The best course of action is to keep your job search going until you have formally accepted a job offer and have a start date to come on board. If your offer is contingent upon a background check, you may even want to wait until that comes back in case there is a glitch in your employment history.
