Apply for JobEven if you weren't able to find a summer job, you may be able to find one for the tail end of summer that lasts into fall, or longer.

Or, if your summer job is finishing up and you're looking for an after school job for the fall, you're laid off and looking for a way to help pay the bills, or you're a mom looking for a part-time job for when the kids are in school, this is a good time to job search.

Either way, don't wait to start looking for a back to school job. One of the obvious reasons is that college students are back on campus and high school students are in school or about to start. Another is that while summer seasonal business is slowing down, other types of businesses gear up in the fall.

When you interview for most part time jobs, you won't need to dress in a suit, but it's important to be neat, tidy, and well-groomed and to present a positive image to the hiring manager.
