Saying thank you can get you a lot of mileage. A thank you note or email message, in addition to showing your appreciation, can boost your career, help you get a job offer, and cement a relationship with a client, a vendor or a service provider.
For example, when I needed an IRS form that wasn't available online in a hurry, a quick call to my accountant got me the form I needed. I took the time to drop off a business thank you note along with a gift bag with a few treats for the office. It didn't take me long and it let the office staff know how much I appreciated their help.
Here's information on when to say thank you and who to thank, different types of thank you letters and when to use them, along with sample thank you letters, thank you notes, letters of appreciation, and thank you email mesages for a variety of business and employment related circumstances.
