Hiring for Holiday Jobs Up Over 50%

Thursday November 15, 2007
SimplyHired, the job search engine, has reported a significant increase in holiday (seasonal) jobs, with a more than 50% increase in the number of jobs posted over last year. Retail is the leading industry for holiday hiring, and in many cases, getting hired for a holiday retail job is quick and easy.

Some of the other top jobs for the holidays include ski resort jobs, bell ringers, Santa Claus, and cookie baking. A quick way to find these types (and other holiday jobs) is to use Simply Hired's Advanced Search and select "seasonal" as the job type. If you're interested in a ski job, check directly with the ski resorts, as well. Many ski resorts list openings on their web sites.
