What is the Hardest Part of Being Unemployed?
Talking regularly to my job adviser, and try to convince him that I am not interested the words "too old", even if he is starting to think along those lines! And try not to curse too loud when yet another rejection arrives in my inbox!
What I Did
Keep trying. Keep looking for possibilities in the field of my expertise. Try to find ways where I can find other alternatives (I am sure that I could make a living doing translation work from French, German and Dutch to English, for example - it is not lack of ability, it is a question of how do I get into that field of work
Lessons Learned
- Never, ever give up. Always believe that I always was a good employee and can be again.
- Continue to believe that I have a great deal of ability and much to offer.
