The job I lost

I was working as a GM of a local pet store and made good money considering the size of the store. I left voluntarily to pursue a real career because retail is a dead end in life. I did not want to be one of those 45 - 55 year old people who have never accomplished a thing in their life. After three months of staying unemployed I finally sat down and applied to a place. I have some college education but was unable to finish due to financial reasons. I received a phone call to schedule an interview and was hired the same week.

What it's like being unemployed

It was a nice eye opening experience for me. I maintenance a couple of saltwater aquariums every month and was able to use that money to pay my bills. I only had about $1000 in my bank account going into this period. I learned not to spend my money on useless stuff like sodas. Seriously you do not need soda, just drink water. I was able to clear my head and figure out what road in life I wanted to take.

Advice

  • Quit blaming someone else for your misfortunes. The man who runs the company I am starting at was a customer of mine. Since I always treated him nicely and was never a POS to him he took notice of me. You people have gone through life treating others like garbage. When times were good you never gave others a second thought. Now you are sitting there at 50 years old wondering what will happen to you. You are the most spoiled pieces of crap I have ever seen and now its time to let you kids fix all the mistakes you created. THANKS*
