The job I lost
I was a teacher. Ofsted bullied me out of my post, no reasons given, nothing in writing (familiar scenario - read on), -- just "go - or else". Ofsted is a Government department here in the UK, btw. No help from the union, they were all watching their own backs - human nature I guess. I don't blame them: but it's divide & rule and they have let it happen, not a smart move.
What it's like being unemployed
I held several related posts until the recession, then things got really sparse. Now I am bullied by the Government again, to take a job, any job, even a job which wouldn't meet the very basic outgoings - futile. Still I look.
Advice
- Watch out for the Work Providers or 'WP'. I don't trust them. A4E was a WP, look at them. My new WP has told me if I miss a single phone call from them it will be reported to JCP so I am under a reign or telephonic terror. I don't think what they are saying to me is legal, nothing in writing, just mental coercion. Watch out. Get advice if you need to ~ legal advice.
