The job I lost
Sales adminatrative for four years with a company located all over the world. I have been unemployed since June of 2010.
What it's like being unemployed
Life is a struggle enough without being unemployed. When my benefits ran out on May 12, 2012 , I felt the end of the world was near. I have no income, no family, nothing but faith. The one thing that is really upsetting: we voted all those politician into office. Politicians run Federal, State, and local governments. They are the Nation's chief executives and legislators. I believe what we are forgetting as Americans is the money spent by politicians are taxpayers dollars - our money we have worked for. I have no solutions to the unemployment problem. But after working for 40 years, paying taxes subsidizing the salaries of politicans and their pet projects with friends and etc., 1 - 1/2 year of unemployement benefits are not enough for Americans, while they line their pockets with gold and we the American people suffer.
Advice
- Here is a thought:
- What if all Americans decided not to vote for any politicans? Let them become unemployed for year or so. Then their larger salaries, credit cards and lifestyle would not be subsidized by us the taxpayers. There is no solution until we the people stand up for ourselves and say Enough
