The job I lost
The last job that I had was a contract position when I worked for a company in Santa Ana, CA. I worked as a Customer Support Analyst. I enjoyed the job and the people I worked with, but in May 2008 my contract ended and so did my job and I've been unemployed ever since.What it's like being unemployed
I moved to Murrieta since then. Half a dozen jobs I applied for the company came back and said I was "OVERQUALIFIED" and yet the jobs I applied for were temp jobs 3-4 months. I want to work!! What is with these companies? Then they ask you "Why would you like to work for our company?" Go figure? I need a job!! I probably apply for 20-30 jobs a day! I'm stressed and can barely keep my head above water. My last extension is running out and I don't know where I will be after that? There's military IT jobs in this area, but they want you have special secret clearance, which I don't and they won't pay for it, which means NO job! Do you know what it's like not knowing? My best time of the day is when I sleep. It takes me away from all the things that seem to be bringing me down....Advice
- Lesson learned? Like it's my fault I'm unemployed? I don't get this question?? No matter what you have in life it can taken away?
