The job I lost
I lost my job after working at Diablo Lincoln Mercury for 20 years with 2 days notice. The owner sold the dealership without any warning to us. We were not given any retirement or severance pay. Just a thank you for your years of service. Very heart breaking. Well I guess you know how the car business has been going. Noone will hire you. Comments made like " we're not hiring, in fact we are laying off". I have worked for dealerships since 1969. I only trained for what I did at the dealerships. What it's like being unemployed
Depressing,
after working since 1969 everyday and then suddenly without warning, out of a job. Hard. I didn't know what to do with myself at first. Then I started hitting dealerships to apply for work. After getting turned down so many times, I lost my confidence. I was afraid to go out looking.
