The job I lost
I was a process engineer for a electronic company in Orlando, well as you know profits before people came,and then it happen within two years over 550 jobs went to china.
Since Jan.2009 I have been on unemployment ,at this time my house payment is $1433.00 car payment $443.00 (I would let it be repo but I will be in the red for about $10,000.00)I have two life insurance that is 5 years old and have a cash back at the end of the term total $131.00 My wife income per week 6.5 days is about $350.00 have the following bills utilities,food,gas,electric,phone car/van insurance.I have no place to turn,
What it's like being unemployed
When your eyes open each morning you try not to think about how long you can hold on to what you have,you look at your emails to see if the applications you sent had a hit,where ever you go you keep you ear clean and open hoping to hear someone chatting about needing someone to do something and hoping it something that you are skilled at.You cry alot when you kid says dad I need $20.00 for a field trip and you cannot give him,or when you get him after school he ask for a slice of pizza and you say sorry I dont have any money but I do have something in a can just as nice.
Advice
- Family first,yourself second and work (company)third,never ever like your boss to the point that you will give up options.The only thing you do is help your boss keep his job.
- Learn to do other jobs....
