The job I lost
I have worked in the computer networking industry for 17 years. I was laid off from a tech support position 3 years ago an have been working off and on taking anything that comes my way.
What it's like being unemployed
I hate it. I never know if I can pay bills or feed myself on my dog. I don't sleep well and spend most of my time looking for a place to work. I have taken work cleaning out a closed Taco Bell, working as a plumber for 1 day. I even hauled straw in my truck.
Advice
- Never stop looking and report anything you make the EDD.
