The job I lost
I was a Data Entry Clerk for a document management company. The owners were forced into a bankruptcy and two of "my co-workers" had called the bank and told the bank the owners were stealing monies (all untrue) but the bank called the notes.Well, now these two own the company and they cut my payroll from $12.00/hr to $7.50/hr - then they gave my cut in pay to some of "their" favorite employees.
They told me they were doing this and I could not do any thing about it--so I left! It's is hard trying to get a job-I have a Bachelors degree on Computer Science and I'm told that they have too many apps for the position!
What it's like being unemployed
I want to work - unemployment in Ohio is BAD! Too many not working and not enough jobs. The $175 week I get barely covers rent and some food. I live with my sister and well, things are not the same. God help us all!Advice
- Don't give up! I have thousands of applications out there-someone will call! I keep calling and get the "call back" talk but I keep trying.
- Have FAITH! It's ok to ask for help--those that you helped in the past (I know in my case they are no where to be found-how soon they have forgotten), but seek out help!
- Don't take NO for an answer--remember the old saying "And this too shall pass." It will and we will be stronger.
