The job I lost
I lost my job March 6, 2009. I have been working in the insurance industy for 40 years.
At the age of 60 I doubt that I wlll find another job. I lost everything and had to file bankrucptcy.
A sad way to end a good life...
What it's like being unemployed
Its the pits... not knowing what the future holds and when unemployment ends who knows.. You start considering what you options are: anywhere from homelessness to suicide.
I used to love life and my job now I feel worthless and can offer my son nothing to help him out as well.
Advice
- You can depend on no one but yourself. Life used to be good.
- I have nothing left and nothingto look forward to. I always love to travel and I always loved my job, that has all gone away. 40 years of work for what - nothing.
- If I survive the next year where I can collect unemployment maybe I will be okay.
