The job I lost
I recently lost my position at Lia Honda because of parking issues. There are waaaay to many new cars on the lot consuming all the employee parking and the fact that I am one of the last employees to come in every day, there are never any available parking spots. According to what I was told, after the service manager wrote "DO NOT PARK HERE" on my car, I was two, yes I said two, spots outside of the designated parking area. Every morning for the past 6 months I get to work and I circle the "designated parking area" to locate a spot and on this day, the spot I parked in was the only one available. I was upset.
What it's like being unemployed
It sucks to be unemployed. I am 50 years old and I never thought I would be unemployed at this time in my life. The most unfortunate part about this crap is I really liked my job. Funny how that happens. Apparently the parking issue was more important to the "LIA GROUP" than a great, always there, employee.
Advice
- What I have learned is don't be upset because someone (namely the service manager-who should have known better) writes on your brand new (2012 Honda Civic-just purchased from where I worked on February 11th of this year) car. Supposed to just tuck your tail between your legs and say "oh it's alright what you did".
