What it's like being an older or younger job seeker
I Went back to school at 67 years old to start a new profession and can't get a job in my chosen field after completing the required pgogram of study.
I completed all required courses. All younger people were hired ahead of me. I can do the same procedures as them, maybe better as I have much more life experience as them, but may be limited in longevity.
I can do the job but nobody wants to give an older person the chance to prove just what they can do.
All they want is someone that they can mold around their fingers and question them if they are wrong.
Lessons Learned
- The civilian job market does not recognize life experiences for nothing, all they want is some young person.
