What Services Does the Site Offer?

CNA Training Class offers valuable and free information to people interested in becoming a CNA (Certified Nursing Assitant). The site offers CNA Practice Tests, information on CNA Jobs, local CNA Schools and a lot more.

What Makes the Site Unique?

Certified Nursing Assistants are in high-demand. They are a part of the healthcare team that we simply can’t do without. There is so much to do for every patient or client every day that we couldn’t get along without them. In fact, they actually spend more face-time with the patient than any other member of the team. It takes a person with a sense of compassion, but a strong will to do this job because burnout is never far around the corner. As the population ages, patient loads increase and the number of Nurses continues to shrink, the demand for Certified Nursing Assistants will continue to grow. Here’s how you can become part of the wave.

So, you want to be a Certified Nursing Assistant? Well, the first thing you have to do is to complete high school, whether it be by GED or by Diploma, it doesn’t matter. You can still get into a program either way. The next requirement is that you must be 18 years old or older. This is the age when you are considered responsible enough to carry out Certified Nursing Assistant duties.

Before you jump headlong into a program, you should think really long and hard about the career choice. Is it for you? The caring professions are special in that you really are required to care about your patients, but you also have to be able to balance the caring and empathy with the need to get things done, no matter how things are going. If the patient is going downhill, in order for you to help them, you have to be in control of yourself, even if you are sad for the patient. You wouldn’t believe how close you can get to a patient. To someone you don’t even know; But it happens, and this is when you find out if you can really do it or not. So search yourself and know that you can do this, so that you don’t find yourself stuck somewhere you can’t handle being.

Once you make the decision that this career is for you, begin to check out Certified Nursing Assistant programs. There is more than one option for getting to the final goal. You could pick a program that is on campus and attend the course in person. The other option is to enroll in an online CNA program. Be cautious when you do this, and always check for the programs accreditation status because if the program is not accredited, you can’t get certified. Also, you will want to know if they have a good track record for placing graduates in jobs.
