What Happened During The Interview?
The interview that just left me a little in disbelief and a little angry. Well I was interviewing for an entry level office position with an law firm. When I first arrived actually 10 minutes prior to the receptionist called the interviewer and stated I had arrived. The receptionist ended up contacting the interviewer a couple of times before he saw me which was about 45 minutes later. Well, when he did finally come along he did not apologize, he was rude in fact pulled out a menu and ordered lunch in between interview questions. While he was ordering lunch I walked out.
How Did the Interview Turn Out?
I believe mutual. The interviewer did not appear to me to have a care in the world, seems as if he was having a rough day and was taking it out on everyone. As for myself I would not like to work for someone who displaces there frustration/anger on me... eventually we probably would have had a bad fallout to where I would probably have to pay the price of not having a job.
Advice
- I believe you should try to come in tune as possible with the vibe of the work place. If possible have the interviewer walk you around to see how people react/checkout the place.
