What Happened During The Interview?
Manager could not answer his management style or other questions.
How Did the Interview Turn Out?
It was a nightmare, and I did not want to work for them even though I do not have a job. He transferred his lack of preparation onto me in the interview and tried to be slick about it, but I was onto that. I had over-prepared for the interview, I even brought a portfolio with examples of work, awards and other evidence to back up my statements. He reminded me of a previous boss I had that had a position that she was not fit for and performed in horribly. I know working there was not in my best interest and was glad that he showed his ignorance before I got the job. I was so glad when they said I did not get the job, but I am going to complain to his managers manager because his manager was there and it all seemed to go over his head.
Advice
- If you go to an interview and ask the manager what is this or that and they cannot answer, it is telling you that he is not the kind of person that makes a good boss and you may regret working there or for him or her. I learned that you go to an interview, be prepared and so you will not end up looking like a dumb ass jerk.
