My Time is Not as Valuable

What Happened During The Interview?

I would just like to say that I know that the job search process is a time consuming and lengthy process. My frustration lies in the fact that my time is apparently not as valuable as the interviewer.

I realize that there are many people vying for a small number of jobs in our current economy. I would appreciate the courtesy that every person is due and if YOU schedule an appointment, please be on time. If YOU schedule an appointment, do not forget it.

Without fail, each interview that I have had has been late by more than 30 minutes. I find this incredibly disrespectful.

How Did the Interview Turn Out?

So far, the interviews have not turned out well. In person interviews have resulted in 30-40 minute wait times. Each phone interview was late, rescheduled for another day and time and then late for that appointment.

Is this a new tactic to test a person?

Advice

  • I am not certain that there is a lesson to be learned here, but I guess patience is the word that comes to mind.
