What Happened During The Interview?
It was comical. The interview was over an hour's drive away. The interviewer had given me the company name, contact person's name and address by phone. I had read it back for correctness. When I got there, no one knew what I was talking about. Even worse, the company wasn't at that address. The current tenant had been there for years. I called the interviewer in frustration and was given a totally different address than the previous one-one I'd never heard before. (I checked my contact records.)
How Did the Interview Turn Out?
It never happened. The interviewer gave me several excuses about the mix up. I decided to cut my losses. If they were that disorganized, did I really want to work there? Not unless I were an efficiency expert, I guess...
Advice
- Some folks shouldn't be tasked with interviews. Sadly, there is no way to figure out if you are talking to one until you get there (or try to)!
