Why I Was Fired

For accepting a job with our mother company that had responsibilities that reached OVER my current boss and the director here in the US. We tried to keep it secret but they went to the Mother Company President & found out! Firing me was the only way to destroy my "reputation" with the mother company who was hell bent on hiring me away from the US branch due to my accomplishments. She even went so far as to have the HR manager who opposed my firing laid off also & fires anyone that doesn't agree to spend time with her outside of work. If you recognize this person, get the heck out!

What Being Fired Has Been Like

Worst and best thing in my life! I lost everything but came back on fire to have my own business and make more money in the same industry and with the same companies as before. I will never be a slave to a person I cannot respect who has no integrity and sees nothing wrong with gossiping about other managers openly with employees. I did not participate in their behavior and was an outsider because of it. When you see you are in that kind of office, get out. I tried but was stopped because of her jealously. Do it before you can be targeted by someone like this. Get a new position and a new manager and do your best to do a good job. Be a good person and leave people like this BEHIND you!! Good luck

Advice

  • Having your reputation destroyed for the personal ambitions of another person is really hard. I should have fought back and taken them to court but misjudged the impact being fired would have on my professional relationships. Those that I was close to turned their back on me and the mother company that loved me to death did also based on the bad information from my bad manager and her best friend the director.
  • Don't believe what they tell you to do behind closed doors. My boss and the director told me they LOVED the work I was doing to speed up the process DESPITE my being hated by those whose work had to improve
