Why I Was Fired
I was fired for alleged workplace violence. The other employee, Shane, was the antagonizer and he cornerd me but I was terminated when he told them I'd said I'd stab him. Of course I didn't. All I said was get out of my face. This is a person who sexually harassed me all of the time but my morals got in the way of me turning him in. I didn't want him to get fired and lose his job and his kids would suffer because of his bad choice to say sexual things to me all of the time. I chalked it up to his kids welfare vs my feelings and I lost out in the end all because he lied.
What Being Fired Has Been Like
Being fired is hard especially when they don't want to give you unemployment. You have to stick to your morals though. A company has no feelings or morals. They only have rules and regulations. You have to continue to do the right thing no matter what the outcome.
Advice
- I think I did the right thing but to live in this world doing the right thing doesn't get you far. People are selfish. The whole time he was sexually harassing me I was thinking about his kids welfare but when I wouldn't do what he wanted me to he didn't think twice about getting rid of me. The payoff will be in heaven I guess and not Gulfstream.
