Why I Was Fired
Hi, People. I was fired for shoplifting from the BX on a military base. I took 9.00 in merchandise (a pair of basketball tights). I was a GS7 41,000 with a opportunity to reach a GS 12 as long as I continue to show I can perform my job thats (70k +) and I would have got 10k raise each of the next three years. Then been eligible for a gs 13 which is 90k +.
What Being Fired Has Been Like
It's freaking horrible, I cried so many times, became antisocial. This year is the worst of my life. I just got a new car in august and have credit card debt and student loans starting in 2011 Novemember. I can't express how much I wish I could turn back the hands of time. I began reading the bible, as it's the only thing I can look positive towards. I know I let many people down, and I know that im not going to be as successful as i could have been.
Advice
- As always people, make the right decision, be happy that you have a job and be humble. I always told myself I was humble but I guess not if I stole a pair of shorts when I had 295 dollars in my pocket. I hope whoever reads this does so before they stupidly make a poor decision and lose a good job. I hope this is beneficial to you guys.
