Why I Was Fired
ex-Shop worker
Basically on this particular day it went like this: woman reaches into my tillspace to grab a bag. I said she is not allowed to do that, and that it was management policy. The woman's phone rings, and she tells the person on the other end I have an attitude. I packed her shopping while she was on the phone, and after she's finished she says she "can't be bothered with" me. The next day I found out she complained, despite saying she can't be bothered with me. I feel threatened that if I get fired my parents will throw me out of the house. I saw the woman again two days later and gave her what for. I was suspended for 3 weeks, then fired.
What Being Fired Has Been Like
I'll summarise in a few words: alienating, marginalised, unwanted, depressed, suicidal, not part of the human race (after that experience maybe it's a good thing), lonely, demoralised, I'm sure I could put more negative words but there is one word which I can use most of all: UNBEARABLE.
Advice
- I learned that people do bad things because it's their destiny. Even if you try to stop yourself you can still do something bad.
