What I Did:

I was looking for a part-time job in the local downtown area of my city. So, I took a day and went to each establishment asking if they were hiring. I filled out many job applications and was able to land a few interviews. Fortunately, I found a job at a small boutique that worked with my busy schedule and now I'm very happy there!

How I Did It:

At the interview I was very personable and presentable, wearing clothes bought from the boutique. My answers to the interviewer's questions, although short, brought out my best qualities, and the next day, I was called back!

Advice

  • Be yourself! Be outgoing and polite, and don't seem intimidated. If the interviewer catches that, how would he/she expect you to work well in that establishment. Dress conservatively and don't over do the makeup. I hope you're as successful as I was in my quest to find a job!
