Resume Text

Resume Text Copyright Alison Doyle
Resume text should be clean and readable. Avoid putting too much text on the page; keep margins at about 1" on all sides. While you may want to center your section headings, the rest of your text should be aligned to the left; this allows for easier reading.

Large blocks of text should include no more than two different styles to avoid looking cluttered.

When you have completed your resume, hand it to a friend. Have them glance briefly at the resume. Is there too much text on the page? Is it easy to follow? Can you see the distinct sections? Are there too many font styles?
