One of the questions I get asked most often is how to tell whether a job posting is a scam or a real job. Even though it can be hard to tell the difference, there are warning signs.

Job sites try to police the listings, but, it's hard to catch all the bad listings in a timely manner, especially when there are so many of them. Be very careful when reviewing postings to make sure that you're not taken advantage of by unscrupulous job posters.

How to Tell if a Job is a Scam
Sometimes, it seems that there are as many scams as legitimate job openings. Here are warning signs to help you determine if a job is a scam.

Job Scam Examples
In general, if a job says that you can earn a lot of money in a hurry with no experience or skills necessary, the chances are good that it's not going to happen. All of those are warning signs to watch for when job searching.
