Definition: If a company has an extensive interview process, a third interview may be conducted to help determine the final candidate or candidates for a job.
A third interview is used both to ensure the candidate is a good fit for the job and to give as many people as possible who work for the company an opportunity to meet with and evaluate the applicant.
A third inteview may be conducted by managers, prospective co-workers, hiring committees and/or other company staff.
