For individuals, alumni networks are a good way to stay in touch with the people you have worked with in the past. For employers, an alumni network is a way to tap into ex-employees for job referrals for candiates for employment, for potentially re-hiring a good employee who has moved on, and for staying engaged with employees who are no longer employed by the company.
