Elizabeth R. Rose (Mitchell):
Liz has a bachelor's degree in social work from Kansas State University and a master's degree in social work from San Jose State University's bicultural/bilingual MSW program in Spanish and English.

She retired from the medical social work and health care ethics fields after 30 years. Not completely retired, Liz volunteers for and participates in programs such as the Adopt a Native Elder Program so that she can better share her understanding of Southwest native cultures and continue her life-long appreciation of learning.

Liz currently writes about travel in the Southwestern U.S. (http://gosw.about.com) for About.com. The information and resource website, Social Work World is run by Liz. The site is dedicated to her social work colleagues and her love of teaching social work and supporting the clinicians "in the trenches."
