The Bureau of Labor Statistics provides occupational and career information, employment and unemployment statistics and reports, and wage, earnings and benefits information.
BLS Unemployment Statistics:
Each month the Bureau of Labor Statistics releases the latest unemployment statistics including the unemployment rate, job growth, the unemployment rate for each type of workers and unemployment by industry and sector.
Bureau of Labor Statistics Wages and Earnings Reports:
The Bureau of Labor Statistics publishes a large amount of information on the wages, earnings, and benefits of workers. Generally, this information is categorized in one or more of the following ways - geographic area, occupation and/or industry.
Occupational Outlook Handbook:
The Occupational Outlook Handbook is published by the BLS and describes what workers do on the job, working conditions, the training and education needed, earnings, and expected job prospects in a wide range of occupations.
BLS Employment Reports:
BLS programs covering jobs and joblessness provide information on unemployment, employment, lay-offs, hours and earnings, displaced workers, state and local employment, occupations and economic indicators.
