While many high school and college athletes dream of making it to the major leagues, the chances of that happening are slim for most players. High School Baseball Web reports that 1 in 200 high school baseball players will make it to a major league baseball team. According to the NFL Players Association, of the 100,000 seniors who play high school football every year, only 215 will make it to the NFL. Other sports are just as competitive.
For those who love sports, there are other options if you're not going to have a chance to make it to the Super Bowl, the World Series or the Olympics. A new report from CareerCast gives you the scoop on the best jobs in sports for 2013.
