I received an email the other day from someone who was looking at job listings online and found her own job posted. She wasn't sure whether she was about to get fired or if there could be another reason her job was advertised. She also wondered what she should do next.
It can be alarming and scary if you notice that your job is being advertised, and it's important to take action to deal with the situation.
But, first of all, don't panic. In some cases, employers will add a job similar or identical to an existing job and have no intention of firing anyone else in that capacity.
