Anyone who watched the Presidential debate or read the follow-up stories knows that Big Bird's job is in jeopardy if Mitt Romney wins the election.
Since it's always a good idea to be prepared to job search before you need to, Big Bird has started getting ready to look for a new job.
The folks at job site Bright.com have been helping him out. He has a varied background including: Skating Carhop, Linguist and Mathematics coach, singer, dancer, actor and more recently "social media maven" - with over 31,000 followers on Twitter.
Big Bird's Bright.com online resume does a nice job of showcasing those skills and accomplishments, so he's set to start looking for work. Using Bright will enable him to find connections at companies to help with his job search. He'll also be able to keeps track of his applications and keep his job search organized.
My guess is the calls and email to schedule an interview will start rolling in - most likely for a social media job.

The important thing for Big Bird, and others preparing to change jobs, is to take stock in what you have to offer a new employer and focus on your assets. Don’t let yourself get too caught up in the negativity that is on your horizon, stay positive and have a plan in place.
I believe our large yellow friend from childhood will land on his sturdy orange feet and do well, no matter what happens.
