Moving Down the Career Ladder

Sometimes, moving down the career ladder, instead of up it, is worth considering. It could be by choice. I know more than a few people who have decided to opt out of a fast track career for a job that's less stressful or for a job that's more fun.

In other cases, especially in a job market that is really difficult, like this one, or when you're in an industry that's not doing well, it can make sense to look at alternative job options and downsize your career.

Here's how you can move down the career ladder including evaluating options, figuring out whether you can live on less pay, how to revamp your resume, and how to apply for jobs.
