"Am I eligible for unemployment?" is one of the questions I get asked a lot. In some cases, workers don't have enough time on the job, left their jobs under circumstances that might disqualify them from unemployment, or aren't sure what to do if the company questions their unemployment claim.
In order to receive unemployment compensation, workers must meet the unemployment eligibility requirements for wages earned or time worked during an established period of time. In addition, workers must be determined to be unemployed through no fault of their own.
