Need help with your resume? Want to make an online resume with lots of bells and whistles? There are free websites you can use for creating both traditional resumes and creative resumes, complete with graphics and other visuals.
One caveat about "free" before you get going. Some of these sites are totally free, but some do charge for extras, so check the details before you sign up. Also, be sure to check out the print options if you want to be able to print a hard copy of your resume. Here's how to make an online resume.
Another option for easy resume writing, if you're more comfortable creating your resume on your own computer and you don't want to start from scratch, is to use a Microsoft Resume Template where you basically fill in the blanks. If you do use one of these templates do be sure to personalize it, because you need your resume to look at least somewhat unique.
Regardless of how you create your resume, to be sure to take the time to target it. A targeted resume highlights the experience you have that is specifically relevant to the job for which you are applying and contains the keywords that will help your resume get selected so you have a shot at an interview.
