A friend shared this quote with me:
Work like you don't need the money
dance like no one is watching
sing like no one is listening
love like you've never been hurt
and live life every day as if it were your last
It's a good quote (or old Irish proverb according to some sources) and worth pondering, especially when you consider that we really don't have that many chances in life to do what we want to do. Most of us spend much of our time working.
That's why it's important to follow your dreams and find a job or career that you love. And, if it's not a job that you love, I hope you take the time to find a position that you, at least, like. It's also important to find balance in our lives so, that we have time to work, time to play, and time to make sure our life is as fulfilling as it can be.
On a related note, I'm wondering if what you do in your job is as important to you as it is to me. What's most important to you when considering a job offer?
